Junior
Junior Boys Own
Junior Boys Own was born out of the infamous club/style/football fanzine of the 80's "Boys Own" and the record label Boys Own Productions, the label that introduced Terry Farley, Onedove, Andrew Weatherall, DSK, Denim and many others to public attention.
Junior began in 1991 as a 12" vinyl only label to compliment Boys Own Productions but soon out grew out with artists such as the Chemical Brothers and X-Press 2.
By the mid 90's Junior was arguably the most important dance label in Europe having scored numerous underground and chart hits around the world and a couple of million selling albums (Underworld’s "Dubnobass......." and "Exit Planet Dust" by the Chemical Brothers).
After the worldwide smash "Born Slippy" the label tied the knot with Richard Bransons V2 where they continued their relationship with Underworld resulting in 3 more million selling albums and numerous international dance hits such as Pete Hellers "Big Love" and "Ultraflava".
