Track Information: It’s very rare that a producer can take an already great record, strip it down, completely re-wire the fundamentals, and still have the end result sound so damn good. Usually the original just sounds plain better. However, when it does happen, the result is something special, and this, Liverpool based HardHeaded Recordings’ debut release, is no exception. Bits ‘n’ Pieces has long been a classic tune in the heart’s and mind’s of the more discerning clubber, made truly massive on dance floors world-wide by the subsequent rework on Tidy, back in 2000. Here, the bounce is replaced with driving energy, the melody is made a little darker (but is still very much present), and all the signature samples have been retained. This one is likely to be a firm favourite with hard dance DJs everywhere, make sure you get your hands on this remix early-on… an instant classic! |
