DJ PreachLabel manager, producer and dancefloor igniting DJ, Preach has achieved international fame in a young but eventful career. With a string of acclaimed releases for Black Hole Recordings, InCharge, Intec, Terminal M or his own Relic Recordings, Preach is poised to release his first full-length artist album in 2007, “Transatlantic”, with Future Beat Instructions (FBI), the sister label to Tïesto’s Black Hole Recordings.
Born Philippe Babin and raised in Quebec, Canada, Preach cut his teeth in Montreal and Quebec City’s dance scenes, DJing regularly at large clubs such as Sona and Aria and releasing for local labels Relentless, Ascend and Edit Recordings. Quickly drawing the attention of global dance music stars such as Tïesto, Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk or Marco V, and finding his releases on international labels MB Elektronics, Symbolism or Iturnem, Preach followed his heart and crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Breclav, Czech Republic, in early 2005.
Founding his own music record company that year, Relic Recordings and sub-label Relic Silver house Preach’s and Marco G’s productions, respectively, alongside those of like-minded artists and friends. The labels are now among electronic music’s most prestigious, featuring acclaimed releases and remixes from Filterheadz, Michel de Hey, Donald Glaude, Laidback Luke, Marco V, Valentino Kanzyani, Eric Sneo or Jamie Fanatic. The broad appeal of the label, which touches on electro, techno, house, progressive and trance genres, has brought listeners and dancers from many persuasions into the musical world of Preach.
Preach’s demand as a DJ continues to soar as 2007 sees him performing at London’s Antiworld festival, Madrid’s infamous Code Summer Festival, Toronto’s WEMF, Montreal’s epic Bal En Blanc, or on Marco V’s stage at Amsterdam’s Dance Valley Festival, while his 2007/8 Transatlantic tour will take his passionate, primal message from Africa to Asia, the Middle East, South America and beyond!
